Definition –
Stillman’s clefts are apostrophe shaped indentation extending from & into the gingival margin varying distance on the facial surface.
Named after- Paul R stillman.
Types-
There are two types of stillman’s cleft –
- Simple cleft – cleavage in one direction .
- Compound cleft – cleavage in more than one direction.
Etiology –
Occlusal trauma.
