Does an overbite make your face look wider?

No, an overbite does not generally increase face width.

But it might appear as there will be change in ratio of length & width of face.

Above picture depicts – overbite ( vertical overlapping of more than 2–3 mm)

The width of an individual’s face is primarily determined by factors –

2.Bone structure
3.Muscle development.

Overbite refers to the misalignment of the upper and lower teeth, where the top row protrudes forward over the bottom row.

So final answer is 🙂-
Overbite may affect the position and appearance of the teeth, it does not directly impact the width of the face.

Thank you 😊
